April 11, 2016 - On the evening of April 1,The Lewis Family Foundation gathered at the Edward Kennedy Institute to honor two of Boston’s courageous community leaders. It was also a celebration of the amazing work the Foundation’s partners have done this year and the hundreds of dedicated leaders and teams who have come together to help develop strong leaders and build strong communities. In fact that was the theme of the night: We Believe in Strong Leaders – Strong Communities.
March 21, 2016 - Conservation Media Group has awarded $100,000 from the newly established Feature Focus Fund to award-winning director Kelly Nyks of PF Pictures for his documentary feature film, Disobedience.
February 22, 2016 - The Farm at Eastman’s Corner held their 2016 Winterfest on February 6 and it was a huge success. Mother Nature delivered eight inches of snow the day before so Saturday was the perfect winter day.
December 16, 2015 - The Farm at Eastman’s Corner had their annual Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 5, 2015. Five hundred members of the community — and Old Saint Nick himself attended this joyous event. One of the most heartwarming moments was when Santa, sitting in a chair and surrounded by dozens of children read a holiday story. Children then had the opportunity to tell Santa their Christmas wishes and get their photos taken with him. There was also gingerbread man decorating that was a big hit for both kids and adults alike.
December 16, 2015 - Opening September 2016, Alnoba is a 14,530 sq ft gathering place developed by the Lewis Family Foundation for individuals, community groups and companies to reflect, connect, and create change. We broke ground December 2014 on the Pinnacle Leadership site in Kensington, New Hampshire. The building’s foundation is completed, the walls are up and the roof is finishing up this month. It is very exciting to see this dream — long held by the Lewis Family — come to life. Top 5 building update:
October 19, 2015 - On September 20th, 150 cyclists rolled into The Farm at Eastman’s Corner. However, this was no Sunday leisure ride. These colorfully clad men and women were participating in a 5-day Bar Harbor to Boston fundraiser for Climate Ride. Climate Ride, founded in 2008, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that organizes life-changing charitable events to raise awareness and support sustainability, active transportation, and environmental causes.
October 19, 2015 - At 5:00 pm on Sunday, October 18, thirty Eastman’s Corner loyalty customers began to arrive for the first Farm to Table dinner. This exclusive, ticketed event took place at the Kensington Food Barn just across the street from the Farm at Eastman’s Corner. The meal was served in community style seating in the main room of the newly renovated and preserved 1800s barn in Kensington, NH.
